Make Space For Guests In A Snap

These days everyone seems to be in some sort of crunch, whether it’s money, time or even the space in your own home. For those of us with home space issues, having guests over for more than an afternoon can be a daunting task when it comes to making room for everyone to sleep. The key is being prepared by making the most of your existing space and futons can do wonders as multi-use furniture. If you have just a little more space, an air mattress can work just as well without having to roll out a sleeping bag for the guest who draws the short straw.

The common misconception about the futon is that it’s for poor people or college kids who just need some stopgap piece of furniture they can sit and lay on, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Futons come in any kind of style and can convert to most sizes of bed. Wood futons could look fantastic in a room with hardwood furniture, or a metal-framed futon could fit in with a more modern room design. Your choice of décor is only limited by your imagination!

An air mattress on the other hand can work great to give you that extra bed for that surprise guest you weren’t expecting, planned or otherwise. Coming in any size a regular mattress would, air mattresses can inflate in just minutes with a hand or electric pump and be ready for sleep any time their occupant is. Some air mattresses are even self-inflating, leaving the work to the mattress itself so you can set it up without even having to be in the room. Next time you’re anticipating guests, don’t worry about how you’re going to fit them on your couch, just pull out your air mattress or slide out your futon and be ready in a snap.
