Another great way to get your electricity bill this winter and during long term storage is to replace existing windows in the house with energy efficient windows.

Why replace my windows?
In general, windows are a major source of heat exchange in their own four walls. Your home may be well insulated, but not if your window – you can easily find a good amount of heat or cooling loss through the windows of your home. This is of course an increase in energy costs, such as your furnace or air conditioner to work more for the comfort of your home. It may take some time to fully recover the investment you have in a new window for your home, but you should see an immediate drop in energy costs per month.

How to replace Windows Help?
Windows win or lose heat through four different mechanisms: conduction, convection, radiation and leakage.

Management: the heat goes right through the windows from outside to inside or vice versa

Convection: The windows absorbs heat from the surrounding air, so that cool air sinks to the ground, causing warm air moving in the direction of the glass absorbs the heat again. This process creates a stream of cold air.

Radiant heat passes through the windows, such as infrared energy.

Leaks: Air slips through the cracks around the window itself and allows the transfer of heat.

Energy Efficient Windows desktop to the heat loss / gain for a number of different factors to be reduced. The most common design is the double-glazing, a layer of gas trapped between them (usually argon or nitrogen, as these gases are inert and have low thermal conductivity) have a “low-e” coating on the outside the window. The “Low-E” coating designed to reflect the sun’s heat out of the window can, but still, the light, while the construction of a double glazing with gas, the amount of heat transfer is reduced by the window, helping keep your home warm or cold, depending on the season. If, depending on where you live, there are several energy efficiency projects window, make sure you have the comfort of your window.

What should I use energy efficient windows?
You wish, depending on the climate of your area, you are in the window U-factor of window insulation measures seem skills – and the coefficient of solar heat gain, which in the heat of activities to both home is permitted. Windows are ideal for lower value U colder climates, but the rate of solar heat gain should be higher. For a warmer climate, you want to watch instead of the coefficient of solar heat gain – the factor U is much less important.
